    Mungkin banyak yang tidak mengira ada jaringan resmi Volvo yang berada di naungan PT. Indotruck Utama di Merak, tepatnya di Gerem, Jalan Raya Gerem no 15, Merak. Ya, PT Indotruck Utama sudah cukup lama ada di Merak, mengingat populasi truck Volvo sangat banyak disini antara lain dari PT. AKR Corporindo, Tbk, Iron Bird (Blue Bird Group), dan BCS Logistics.

    Setelah melalui R&D beberapa tahun, Volvo telah yakin untuk memulai memproduksi bus hybrid yang bukan lagi prototipe. Seri bus yang akan digunakan adalah yang berasal dari kelas 12 meter, Volvo 7700 dan Volvo B5L. Menurut sumber dari Volvo, dengan menggunakan bus hybrid ini, maka bahan bakar bisa dihemat hingga 35% dan emisi gas karbon akan berkurang juga tentunya.
