Try NOT to translate into and from your own language. This takes too much time and will make you more hesitant.


If you forget a word, do what native English speakers do all the time, and say things that 'fill' the conversation. This is better than keeping completely silent. Try using um, or er, if you forget the word.


Don't speak too fast! It's important to use a natural rhythm when speaking English, but if you speak too fast it will be difficult for people to understand you.

Speaking english always fun! trust me! I started to learn english when I was 9 years of age. Yes, still speaking English till now, cause my colleagues, partners who support my business are came from Europe and US. I travelled alot with my job who brings alot of fun to do it. Meeting people who really support you in any kind of way makes you feel better and professional. But still, I have a very weird hobby. what was it??? Yes, I love seeing BUS!!!! hahahahaaa

Wow, awesome there is English topic.

Wants to share about how ill-feel I am to the subject of English when I was in school couple of decade ago.
My uncle was the teacher at that school, so everytime there is a question - he would asked me the first to answer.....
He even offered me for weekly course at my (parent) home, BUT I rather to ran off the home and spend the afternoon in the river or sawah or wherever just to avoid him.... (I spend my childhood in a village).

NOW in the real life, I just realized how important English is - as in my daily task/work, about 90% communication / correspondence in English.

Encourage to everyone in this forum, especially the students; Do not ever to think that a subject (mata pelajaran) is not important....
Every subjects are important, you will consider this important when you are entering the real life as a mature.

Remember; We are never too old to learn, and so do not think too young to learn..... (this is my ex Boss words, that kept in my mind to keep learning).

Thanks Om Imung.... I've spent my childhood in south-east part of Cirebon - exactly near the Sindang-laut area.
The electricity (PLN) just connected in a year of 1989, so before that we (the village residence) were using 'lampu teplok' and only few having B/W TV powered by battery (accu).
You know when popular TVRI 'selecta-pop' in the monday morning, there are so crowded people at home (who owned TV).

What a hard life, but as a child we are much enjoy it.

Time goes by, now every-home at least have that (colored TV) completed with its dvd player and this apparatus considered as a primary needed just like meal, clothes etc.
